Elementary I-II

Level I: 6-9 years
The integrated Elementary curriculum responds to the child's developing imagination and intense desire for knowledge by providing a framework for exploration of nature, the world and the universe. MECR students develop instructional strategies and materials to facilitate individualized educational programming and they learn to use Montessori materials which support the development of language and math concepts and skills.

Level II: 9-12 years (Extension of EL I course for EL I-II 6-12 credential)
This course is a continuation of the Elementary I level and requires a second summer of academic coursework, with a focus on children ages 9 - 12 years. Montessori teachers who already hold a 6-9 credential are also encouraged to apply.
