Description of Position
Desert Sky Montessori Charter School in Bend seeks a Montessori-trained Upper Elementary Head Teacher for the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. DSM opened its doors in 2017 with 105 K-3 children. In our second year, we opened a preschool and added our first Upper Elementary. This coming school year we will add our second Upper Elementary. DSM received an amazing Implementation Grant of $450,000 from the Oregon Department of Education for our start-up years, and the classrooms are complete with beautiful Montessori materials and furnishings.

Qualifications (Minimum and Preferred)
The successful candidate will have a Montessori teaching certification, preferably from AMI or AMS, and teaching experience is preferred. Oregon State Licensure, or the ability to obtain this credential or the Oregon Charter School Registry, is required. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience and competitive with independent schools in the area.
