Oak Run Elementary is seeking dynamic, innovative, experienced, resourceful, & passionate Montessori teachers who want to be part of a pioneering team that is transforming a small, rural public school to Montessori! We have openings for full-time, lead teachers at the Primary & Upper Elementary levels.

What a unique & exciting opportunity to further Montessori in the public sector & collaboratively create a holistic, joyful learning environment in which children & adults alike grow and flourish! Within this, we will also be starting a paleo-technics (a.k.a. ancestral or wilderness survival skills) program, for which the 4th-8th graders will be docents, leading field trips for other students from all over Shasta County. The MOSAIC Project, a social justice curriculum, will be the foundation for peace education, and will be implemented school-wide.

Oak Run has a flourishing organic gardening and farm to fork program, including chickens and a large greenhouse, which help feed all students and staff an organic lunch everyday! We plan on expanding the farm to fork program with dairy goats next year! Two community organic meals are held on campus every month, which are open to the public and, in turn, serve as fundraisers for the garden program! These meals often end up being a bluegrass concert as there are many talented musicians in this community!
