Description of Position
Hello! I am looking for a Montessori trained teacher to tutor my two homeschooled children, who are aged 8 and 10 years old. They both went to Montessori schools in London (UK), Switzerland and Miami, until they were 6 and 8 years old, and have been homeschooled for the past two years. There is a possibility that one, or a couple other children, of similar ages, will join us, to make a small group. I have written my address above, but it is also possible for us to meet at the homes of one of the other families in Boulder, which may be easier to get to than our house, which is in the Foothills. We are flexible on the time commitment, but would be looking for between one and three ‘short’/half days per week. Start date is flexible. I have noted September 9 below just to enter something in the field.

Qualifications (Minimum and Preferred)
Tutor should be qualified to teach through upper elementary. Since the children are homeschooled, they are working at different levels, which may not correspond to recognized grade work, e.g. one eight year old dives into high school geometry on khan academy, so tutor would ideally be confident with more advanced material than that covered in standard elementary classes.

Description of Community
The children in the group are of International backgrounds, and speak English, German and French. All have English as a mother/father tongue. We are easy-going, positive and progressive and would like to develop a close relationship with whomever is tutoring our children 🙂
