You don’t have to be Montessori trained to lead a Montessori community well.

Stepping into leadership in a Montessori school or program can come with a unique challenge: you may be responsible for supporting Montessori educators, observing classrooms, communicating with families, and protecting the integrity of a Montessori program, all without having experienced Montessori teacher education yourself.

MECR Leadership Essentials: Virtual Series was created for you.

Across three interactive online gatherings, school and district leaders will develop the foundational Montessori understanding, language, and leadership lens they need to better understand what they are seeing, support the adults doing the work, and create conditions in which both children and adults can thrive.

This is not Montessori teacher training, and participants do not need a Montessori credential. Instead, Leadership Essentials helps administrators understand the principles and practices that shape the Montessori environments they lead.
