Time Commitment:
Board members are expected to attend regular board meetings and actively participate in committee work and fundraising activities. The time commitment may vary but typically involves six annual meetings, in addition to special meetings. These meetings are typically two-hours long and alternate between virtual and in-person sessions. Newly elected members of the Board of Directors who have not served before shall serve an initial two-year term. At the conclusion of the initial term, members of the Board of Directors may serve up to two additional two-year terms.

Board Members must commit to participating fully in one or more committees:

● Finance
● Governance
● Fundraising

Position: Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher / Guide

Description: General Position Description
Our Lead Teachers have two critical roles within the Little Village - ensuring a high-quality learning experience for their students, and mentoring refugee and immigrant teaching assistants and trainees as they work towards greater leadership roles in Early Childhood Education. The Lead Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive infant room team,
coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Lead Teacher must have extensive experience working with infants and collaborating with parents in order to ensure high quality care.

This position reports to the Center Director.

Qualifications: Education & Certification Requirements
● Infant Nursery Supervisor (INS) qualification required.
● PDIS Level 2 minimum.

Key Responsibilities:
